Sinyetha Party

Sinyetha Party
Known in English as the "Poor Man's Party," a political group formed in 1936 by Dr. Ba Maw. Its capture of 16 seats in the 1936 legislative election enabled Ba Maw to form a minority government. After his government's fall in February 1939, it became an opposition party and in October joined with the Dobama Asiayone and the All Burma Students Union in the Freedom Bloc.
